History:
Number 41-21726 (s/n 5565) came out of the factory and was
accepted by the AAF in April, 1942. It's unit assignments
were Lemoore, Stockton, Lancaster (CA), Marana and Kingman
(AZ). At Kingman it was turned over to the RFC in 1945.
There is evidence that it was stored at Eagle Field before
going to a Sacramento crop duster. It spent most of it's
service life at Lancaster. At the time that I acquired the
remains of the airplane, it had the original yellow and blue
under the subsequent silver. Both types of marking were
still intact. It still had "Kingman AAF" on the instrument
panel access doors. Coarse brush marks were clearly visible
from daubing out the original "meatballs".
